okay, if you meditate on An's sister you eventually will narrow down that there does seem to be some kind of bond there that is not actualized, dormant, unused at the moment

Can I see the soul shard? To see if it will allow me to extend or activate the bond?

okay, so Tien is meditating for a few hours with the soul shard trying to unlock a portion of his mental landscape that is currently dormant? Is that the gist of what you're attempting?

right then... lemme think for a minute as to what that's going to do...

All are one.

and then all are many

The many are all

warm golden light floods through tien's mindscape, forming smooth, soothing lights

they cut through his beliefs, warming, setting them to light, all are now visible

in stark contrast, many are revealed to be contradictory

"Emotional Connection is a sin" / "Love All"

"You must be free of temptation, you must not question" / "Without being tempted, without being tested, without questioning you do not have true faith"

"We are but mirrors for the light of the Pancreator" / "We can save the Pancreator's light within us for future use"

"I love all equally, I am free of desire" / "I have feelings for Elena, I desire to comfort her, to help her, to kiss her, specifically, to feel the touch of a woman"

The beliefs, years of rote indoctrination, dozens of inculcated but untested beliefs are moved apart from the feelings, twenty years of being a human being amongst other human beings and knowing that this can't be wrong

And then the light beams begin to pull, to make beliefs and feelings into seperate shards of self...

The being that is Tien is held in two parts that can regard one another, that can comment on the failings without fear of contradiction

The real question now is whether the Tien that is a loving, feeling human or the Tien that is a closed, desire-less priest is the one that will win the internal debate

and I pass that on to you, Lee, to hash out in front of us now or think about over the next week and work out as a dialogue between the selves

One can not over come the other, for we are the different sides of the same coin.

One can and one must... both sides realize that one will come away dominant, and the other will be subjugated by this dialogue.. they may come to terms, but one will be found to be mostly correct over the other

before the contradiction can be made back into one Tien, one side must be the one at the fore
